About
I’m Ellie Zygmunt, Vancouver-based writer and critic.
In a past life I was a competitive figure skater, a senior administrator at a U10 Canadian university, and worked in tech as a Chief of Staff and COO. I hold a BA and a MA in English Literature and rue the day everyone pivoted to video. Now I write about literature, technology, art, and sports with the verve of an Elder Millennial dumping unfiltered point and shoot photos in a Facebook album circa 2007.
Previous credits include:
- Fresh Wizzy’s Radical Tower (a text-based, 90s themed adventure game that I also co-designed)
- My MA thesis about collective memory in comics
- A foray into figure skating blogging
- A newspaper column I convinced my home town weekly to let me write in the mid ‘00s
